MEMS firm InvenSense is seeking partnerships with Taiwan-based foundries including Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC), United Microelectronics Corporation (UMC), Touch Micro-system Technology (TMT) and Asia Pacific Microsystems (APM) for extra capacity in order to meet strong gyroscope demand for Nintendo’s Wii Motion Plus, according to market sources.
