LONDON – The United States administration of President Barack Obama has submitted to congress for approval a plan to sell Taiwan new weapons. The US$5.85 billion arms package includes upgrading the 145 Lockheed Martin-made F-16A/B jet fighters now in service in the Taiwanese air force.
