Micron agrees to release DRAM technology to Taiwan (Digi Times)
The Formosa Plastics Group, parent company of Nanya Technology and Inotera Memories, has assured the Taiwan government that Micron Technology will release more than 2,500 patents to Taiwan Memory, the island’s planned state-run DRAM company. Micron also plans to invest in Taiwan Memory and become one of the new entity’s major shareholders.
